画家简介

Colin Burns is a renowned painter of landscape, sporting art and natural history subjects. Born in Norfolk, many of Colin’s paintings depict views of East Anglia, the beauty of which has inspired so many fine artists from the 18th century to the present day. However, he is equally adept at capturing the highlands of Scotland and many other beautiful unspoilt areas of England.

He has held seven one-man exhibitions in London and his work is represented in many important private collections, both in Europe and America.

画家简介

George William Mote was a British painter. He produced a series of landscape oil paintings. Mote started painting as the gardener/caregiver to Sir Thomas Phillips of Middle Hill. Many of Mote’s paintings have been exhibited at Royal Academy and Suffolk Street Gallery of the Royal Society of British Artists.

Mote might be described as being to British 19th century landscape painting what ‘Le Douanier’ Rousseau was to French Impressionism.

Like Rousseau, George Mote was largely self-taught and came from a very different social class than many of his fellow artist. In Motes’ case he was working as a gardener/caretaker (rather than a customs officer) when he first began to have his work exhibited. Mote had an impressive 15 paintings exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1857-1873, 18 works at the famous Suffolk Street Gallery of the Royal Society of British Artists.
